Remembering Donna Becker
With heavy hearts, we share the passing of Donna Becker on September 27, 2023. Born on August 6, 1932, Donna was a dedicated teacher who left an indelible mark on her students at Shiloh Elementary School in Zion, IL.
She was not only an educator but also a trailblazer, known for her time in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League (AAGPBL), immortalized in “A League of Their Own.” Donna’s legacy lives on at the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, New York.
Donna is survived by her sister, Barbara Becker Remington, and brother, Ted Becker, along with nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. We extend our gratitude to her niece, Shelly Becker, and the caring teams at Legacy and Kenosha Hospice Alliance.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on October 3rd, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Kenosha (2223-51st Street). Visitation with the family will precede the mass at 10:00 AM. Donna will be laid to rest at St. George Catholic Cemetery.
