April 1, 1929 – December 17, 2024

Mary (Kimball) Purdham, a beloved athlete and family member, passed away at 95. Born in Kalamazoo, MI, Mary was a trailblazer in women’s sports, pitching for the Racine Belles in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League and earning recognition in The National Baseball Hall of Fame.

She later retired to Harper Lake with her husband, James, before returning to Vicksburg to be near family. Mary’s love for sports, family, and community defined her remarkable life.

A private graveside service will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kalamazoo County Humane Society.
