Let’s give a standing ovation to Alexia Jorge, the first woman ever to play in the Coastal Plain League — one of the most competitive summer collegiate baseball leagues in the country. This powerhouse catcher from Saint Elizabeth University is breaking barriers, just like the legends of the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League once did.

From catching for Team USA at just 16, to stepping behind the plate for the Holly Springs Salamanders this summer, Alexia is proof that the future of baseball includes women.
